The Italian brand S•CAB offers practical and eco-friendly solutions for new furniture series presented in the spring of 2023 at the annual largest furniture exhibition in Milan (Salone del Mobile Milano), which are suitable for use in a variety of environments: restaurants, cafes, bars and offices, terraces of private residences, outdoor areas of food establishments, hotels, beaches and other dining and recreational areas.
New colors, materials and high-quality fabrics in the Mentha chair collection by Archirivolto, the Brezza outdoor chair designed by Alessandro Stabile, the FLAP modular upholstered furniture system and the expanded Si-Si series, which has already proven itself, designed by Meneghello Paolelli Associati, combined with the search for new concepts, shapes and textures in the furniture industry, demonstrate the constant growth of the company from Brescia, Italy.

The Mentha series of chairs is a visual reference to the natural world and its harmonious and attractive lines. In the first collaboration between Archirivolto Design and S•CAB, the ecological theme finds its synthesis in an easily recognizable form — a leaf, the name of the line itself translates from Latin literally as "mint", positioning it as an oasis of coolness, coziness and comfort.
The choice of body material is just as key as the shape: the use of certified recycled plastic is a progressive choice that the company is making more and more often, supporting the overall ecological concept.
The Mentha collection covers chairs for a variety of applications: from stylish models for any public or private space to offices, conference rooms, auditoriums and waiting areas, and hospitality facilities. The furniture is available in five different colors, in solid and upholstered versions, with or without armrests, stackable, and with different frames: from classic 4-legged structures to swivel versions on trestle base or castors.

In collaboration with the designer Alessandro Stabile, S•CAB has presented the Brezza armchair, which was developed based on three key principles: innovation, ethics and elegance. Soft shapes and high comfort are combined in an ecologically designed model that looks equally harmonious and practical both outdoors and indoors.
With soft cushions and a sturdy metal frame that fit together securely and easily, the new product is an innovative take on comfortable furniture. The chair is incredibly practical: one simple movement is enough to remove the upholstered part to wash it or fold it for long-term storage.
“I chose fabrics made from recycled yarn and then designed a non-glue construction of the various elements. The frames can be stacked to reduce the shipping footprint and consequently CO2 emissions,” says the designer.
FLAP, modular outdoor sofa

This is the first collection of furniture for indoor and outdoor use that S•CAB has developed as a modular system. Seating elements can be easily combined with support surfaces, creating great flexibility in the design of the space. The main structure of the FLAP sofa includes elements reminiscent of airplane flaps, this part of the backrest serves to support the rear cushions and can rotate around the axis by about 15 degrees, which allows the cushion to have different inclinations to achieve the best degree of comfort.
The system consists of four parts: a center and side modules of an upholstered sofa and a side table with a square HPL top, which can be combined to create various compositions. The Meneghello Paolelli Associati studio has purposefully developed a solution that can be used in a variety of scenarios, both in the backyard, outdoor and indoor spaces of private premises and grounds, as well as in the commercial segment.
Si-Si Bold, upholstered metal chairs

This year, the outdoor furniture collection consists of four series: Si-Si Dots — perforated chairs and armchairs, Si-Si Barcode — models with a texture with vertical cuts in the form of a "barcode", Si-Si Wood — a seat and backrest with slats made of wood treated for outdoor use, Si-Si — a solid metal body without any perforations, the Si-Si Bold series with upholstery suitable for indoor use is added. With the addition of fabric, the new line completes an eclectic family of steel chairs with smooth curved lines that will look great in almost any design project in an institution or home.
“Si-Si Bold is the natural evolution of the Si-Si outdoor chair. The chairs are twins, sisters, with the same design matrix and basic frame. Unlike the Si-Si outdoor version, the Bold version consists of two distinct elements rather than a single backrest and seat to make the design more suitable for indoor settings. The “biscuit" look is accentuated, and the seat is significantly raised for added character and comfort,” explains Sandro Meneghello and Marco Paolelli.
