Sushi Avenue Japanese Restaurant

Sushi Avenue is a contemporary Japanese restaurant in Antwerp, continuing the development of the successful Belgian Sushi Avenue concept. The venue combines signature sushi rolls, modern presentation and an atmosphere where gastronomy and design work together as one. The brand is built around premium ingredients, bold flavour combinations and a distinctive visual experience for guests. This is why furniture became an essential part of the restaurant’s overall identity.

For the Sushi Avenue Antwerp project, our team was responsible for the selection and supply of restaurant furniture for the main dining area, focusing on quality, durability and contemporary European aesthetics. The interior features furniture solutions from two renowned Italian manufacturers — Scab and Cizeta.

Italian Furniture for a Contemporary Japanese Restaurant

When selecting the furniture, the goal was to create an interior that reflects the character of the Sushi Avenue brand while ensuring comfort for intensive daily commercial use. To achieve this, furniture was chosen that combines clean geometry, ergonomics, durability and distinctive design.

The project features furniture from two Italian manufacturers — Scab Design and Cizeta. Dining and bar areas were furnished with Scab tables featuring slim HPL tabletops, combining excellent wear resistance with a visually lightweight appearance. Rectangular, square and round tables were used throughout the restaurant, creating a variety of seating layouts ranging from intimate tables for two to larger group dining areas.

A key role in the restaurant’s concept is played by the Asian-style chairs from the Frisbee collection by Italian manufacturer Cizeta. These wooden restaurant chairs, together with the matching bar stools, combine clean lines, natural materials and the understated elegance associated with contemporary Asian interiors. They helped reinforce the Japanese identity of the restaurant while creating an atmosphere of harmony, comfort and visual lightness.

The combination of Scab Design tables and Cizeta chairs created a cohesive interior where the functionality of contract furniture is balanced with refined aesthetics. As a result, the restaurant benefits from a comfortable environment for guests and a reliable furniture solution designed for intensive daily use in the HoReCa sector.
