Paged is a leading Polish manufacturer of furniture for hotels, restaurants and cafés, with a distinctive expertise in handcrafted bentwood. The history of the brand dates back to 1881, and the name Paged carries with it a heritage of tradition, craftsmanship and European manufacturing quality.

Over more than 140 years, a small factory in Jasienica has grown into one of Europe’s leading contract furniture producers, whose chairs, armchairs and café furniture are used in projects worldwide.

Brand heritage: from Thonet’s workshop to global markets

The story begins with Michael Thonet, founder of a joinery workshop in 1819, who in 1859 created one of the most recognisable chairs in the world — Chair No.14. It was on this chair that Brahms composed music, while Le Corbusier worked on his modern projects.

In 1881, a bentwood furniture factory was established in Jasienica — one of the first in the world. This place became a symbol of an exceptional tradition and the continuity of the oldest continuously operating furniture production in Poland.

In 1931, the “Polish Wood Export Agency” was established, and a year later it was renamed PAGED. Today, Paged Meble is part of Thumos Capital — a European industrial consortium bringing together manufacturing, trading and technology companies in the timber and furniture sectors.

Manufacturing: craftsmanship and innovation in one cycle

Paged Meble designs and manufactures furniture that is as durable as the foundations of its 140-year tradition are strong: the use of wood as one of the finest natural materials, respect for the environment and the cultivation of precise craftsmanship that makes every product unique.

Production is concentrated in the factories in Jasienica and Sędziszów Małopolski. Products are supplied through 250 retail points in Poland and are present in 76 countries worldwide. At the in-house Paged LabTech research centre, innovative technologies are developed and implemented to ensure the durability and comfort of every piece over many years of use.

Materials and standards: a responsible approach

Timber and other production materials, including plywood and fabrics, are sourced exclusively from certified suppliers. Wood comes from specially selected batches marked with FSC® certification, while upholstery materials comply with OEKO-TEX® standards.

The company monitors its carbon footprint, reduces water consumption and uses electricity exclusively from renewable sources. This approach makes Paged especially relevant for projects where environmental responsibility, furniture lifespan and contract-grade quality matter.

Collections and design: a dialogue between heritage and modernity

Paged collaborates with leading Polish and international designers, resulting in recognised collections and prestigious awards. The B-2960 La Benda chair received the German Design Awards 2022, while the Aldo armchair, the Viennese woven chair B-1400 NODO and the A-2094 model received Must Have awards at the Łódź Design Festival in different years.

In 2025, Paged won the “Best Polish Design” award at 4 Design Days in Katowice. At Salone del Mobile 2025, the brand presented the Heritage collection — a reinterpretation of the forgotten Polish modernist chair B-621, created in the 1950s by designer Marian Sigmund under the direction of Maja Ganszyniec.

The AlterEgo collection, developed together with Studio Spark, reinterprets Thonet’s legendary Chair No.14 in contemporary Fuoco Blu and Fuoco Arancia versions. Paged is also the original manufacturer of the iconic A-1840 chair, known as Princess, No.18 or Thonet — a symbol of timeless elegance and craftsmanship.
